With so many wildlife hotspots to choose from, there’s plenty to see and do on a day out or family break in East Yorkshire.

Stretching from the dramatic headland of the East Coast, down through Holderness to Yorkshire’s own ‘land’s end’ of Spurn Point, and across to the rolling chalk hills and deep green dry valleys of the Yorkshire Wolds; there’s always amazing wildlife experiences and outdoor adventure to be discovered in Yorkshire’s nature triangle, whatever the time of year.

Puffins, gannets, otters, bitterns, avocets, red kites, whales, seals and barn owls are just some of the many wild inhabitants living in this spectacular part of the country and, many can easily be seen from nature reserves in the area. For those who like a bit of adventure while wildlife-watching, there’s also plenty of wildlife safaris and boat trips to choose from, or, if you prefer a more tranquil experience, there’s numerous cycling and walking routes through the countryside where you’ll encounter wildlife along the way.
